We will feature different people talking about the products they work on and changes we are making so you have more context. Please note this is not an official YouTube channel and is an experiment.

— What’s up Insiders?
We’re keeping it fresh, keeping it real.
Let’s get in to this weeks updates.
First up, let’s discuss
the launch of clips.
Now, last year, we introduced clips
to the creator community as an experiment.
If you’re unfamiliar with them?
We’ll leave more information
in the description below.
Since then, many of you
have expressed an interest
in the feature, and I’ve asked when clips
would become more broadly
available to creators.
We’re excited to announce
that we’ve been expanding
this feature to more channels
over the past few weeks and
plan to have this rolled out
to all creators by the end of next week.
Let us know what you think of
this feature once you get it,
and leave us your questions below.
Up next, let’s talk about the
launch of post image polls.
Being able to share images to polls
has been a top requested
feature from creators.
And today we’re excited to
announce that post image polls
are available on Android devices.
Up until now, creators have only been able
to share text polls on the community tab.
Now creators on Android
with community tab access,
so those with 500 or more subscribers,
will be able to create image polls
and viewers across Android,
iOS and desktop devices
will be able to see
and interact with them.
Creators will be able to share
up to four images per poll post.
And we’d like to call out
that, during this experiment,
we heard a lot of great
feedback from creators,
and we look forward to
hearing more feedback
from the creator community
as we roll this out to more devices.
Let us know if you have any questions
in the comments below.
Up next, let’s talk
places mentions update.
Last year, we started an experiment
showing Google Maps
information relating to cafes
and restaurants that were
mentioned in a video to viewers
in a new location section
on the mobile watch page.
We’ve expanded this to videos relating
to travel and entertainment,
and are working on expanding
it to more types of videos.
This helps viewers save time
investigating themselves
if they’re interested to find out more.
However, we’re aware that not all creators
want to show this information.
Therefore, we’re launching
an opt out option
as an experiment.
For every video, creators
in the experiment
will have the option to unselect
the allow automatic places
option in the upload flow
or when editing a video later
so the places won’t automatically be tied.
Let us know what you
think about this feature
in the comments below.
And that’s about it for
this week’s news flash
from the creators of
YouTube to YouTube creators,
have a great week.
And for those new to the channel,
make sure that you like and subscribe.
We’ll see you next week.
